An old friend once told me, “Tim, the images you make look as if they were taken by someone in love.” At the time, I wasn’t sure how to take it. Now, I consider it one of the greatest compliments I’ve ever received.
That’s what photography is for me, a way of connecting deeply with a person, a place, or a moment, and telling its story in the most honest way possible.
My mentor, Jim Veneman, often says the camera is the greatest vehicle there is. It can take you around the world, into the lives of others, and (when used carefully) transport those who view the images as well.
Since a camera is the greatest vehicle there is, you might as well take the ride with some friends.
Thanks for being here,
- Tim
